Health and Safety Manager

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Health and Safety Manager to join a highly successful team within a dynamic and expanding National Company.

This role will be field based with the requirement to frequently travel throughout the United Kingdom. You will be required to travel to our branches alongside travel to customer sites when needed.

Job description:

– Maintaining the Health and Safety compliance throughout the group

– Carrying out internal and external quality audits

– Ensuring our staff are trained on Health and Safety standards and procedures

– Assisting with day to day health and safety questions

– Ensuring new starters are inducted into the company and all health and safety training is completed within the set deadlines

– Assisting with ISO and other company accreditation

– Collating, reporting and investigating all accidents and near misses

– Carry out regular site inspections to check policies and procedures are being implemented

– Keep up to date with new legislation and maintain a working knowledge of all Health and Safety Executive (HSE) legislation and any developments that affect the employers’ industry

– Keep records of inspection findings and produce reports that suggest improvements to the board

Qualifications/ Person Spec:

  • NEBOSH Qualified (Essential)
  • Experience in operating in a fast paced role
  • Proven experience in a senior health and safety leadership role.
  • In-Depth knowledge of UK EHS regulations and best practices.
  • Knowledge of ISO standards.
  • Knowledge of the Fire safety industry would be an advantage.

This role does come with a company vehicle and therefore you will need a full UK driving licence
