Important Update Regarding Fire Extinguisher Service Contracts

Changes to Fire Extinguisher Service Contracts b&w

At Mayfair Compliance Group, your safety and environmental well-being are our top priorities. As the parent company of Regis Fire Protection, we’re committed to keeping you informed about any changes that might impact your fire protection plan.

This update pertains to upcoming modifications to fire extinguisher service contracts, driven by a new environmental regulation.

Environmental Responsibility Takes Center Stage

The Environmental Agency has enacted new regulations to safeguard our waterways. Previously, fire extinguisher foam could be disposed of through water systems. However, this practice is no longer permissible. Instead, proper disposal now requires incineration to minimize environmental harm caused by these compounds.

What This Means for Your Fire Extinguisher Services

Moving forward, during your regular service visits, our Regis Fire Protection technicians will gradually replace foam extinguishers with water extinguishers wherever feasible. However, certain areas with specific fire risks might necessitate the continued use of foam extinguishers.

Cost Considerations

The proper disposal and incineration of used foam extinguishers come with a one-time cost. Unfortunately, to comply with the new regulation, we must pass this expense on to our valued clients.

We’re Here to Guide You

Our Mayfair Compliance Group team, including the experts at Regis Fire Protection, is here to address any questions you might have regarding the new regulations and their impact on your specific fire extinguisher needs. We’ll work diligently to ensure your business remains compliant and your fire safety plan is up-to-date.

Staying Informed

As we receive further details about the implementation of this new law, we’ll continue to provide updates. In the meantime, please don’t hesitate to contact Mayfair Compliance Group for more information or to schedule your next fire extinguisher service with Regis Fire Protection.

Together, we can prioritize both fire safety and environmental protection for a safer, greener future.
